The Membership Development Committee
• promotes awareness of the values of IEEE membership,
• recruits new members,
• assists with membership problems, including non-renewals,
• addresses membership quality issues,
• promotes and assists members to upgrade their membership
• promotes and assists members to join and participate in IEEE Societies
• implements and supports membership development programs initiated by the IEEE Membership Development Committee
• provides efficient and timely communications on membership trends, changes and problems,

• Half dues starting in March every year (i.e., from September to December 31 of the same year)
• 15 months of membership for price of 12 months starting in September (i.e., from September to December 31 of the following year)

IEEE Member-Get-A-Member (MGM) Referral Program
Active IEEE members that recruit new members during the 2022 membership year (16 August 2021 through 15 August 2022), may be eligible to earn an award that can be used toward IEEE dues, IEEE Society fees, or the purchase of books and publications.
Professional members can earn:
• US$15 for each Professional member recruited*
Student members can earn:
• US$2 for each Student or Graduate Student member recruited*
• US$15 for each Professional member recruited*

* The maximum amount a member can earn during the membership year is a credit award of US$90.

Senior Membership in IEEE is a prestigious designation that recognizes members for their professional accomplishments and contributions to the field of electrical and electronics engineering.
