Areas

The local sections are grouped geographically into three areas (formerly councils) which usually meet virtually at least quarterly to discuss regional initiatives, share resources, and collaborate on projects. Please see the rosters page for the names of the area volunteers, including their roles and responsibilities. Some historical information about the sections is also available in the area history section, highlighting key milestones and achievements. The Area management committee consists of an Area Chair and the seven Section chairs, representing each region. The Area committee usually meets at least quarterly using virtual platforms before the Board Meetings to align goals and review progress. The Area committees may also meet during the in-person meetings, fostering stronger collaboration and strategic planning for future initiatives.
